Peer Support
Peer Supports empower individuals in recovery through shared life experiences to help the peer gain independent mastery over their own recovery.

Peer support services empower individuals by pairing them with others who have been through, and overcome, similar experiences. These peer support specialists receive specialized training to leverage their own lived experiences and create positive and meaningful growth for themselves and others. Since 2002, peer support has been nationally recognized as a best practice. Our peer specialists primarily work with our Early Interventions and Drug Treatment Court teams. JusticePoint also provides training in integrating peer support into existing programs, roles of peer specialists, peer support within criminal justice organizations, and supervision of peer specialists at conferences and for other agencies.
