GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Director with the day-to-day program operations including staff supervision, training, and quality assurance measures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and update program policies and procedures

  • Develop, and update staff training materials

  • Develop and update program forms and other program documents

  • Provide ongoing staff training, coaching, and skill development

  • Oversee services provided by staff to ensure that clients are receiving quality services

  • Provide ongoing review and quality assurance on all program services and documentation

  • Assist with hiring of new staff

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess at least a B.A. or B.S. degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field with experience in human services, preferably case management.

  • Computer literacy including working knowledge and experience of Windows and word processing, as well as data entry experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High level of skill in organization and attention to detail and accuracy as well as ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.

  • The ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. 

  • Knowledge and understanding of mental illness, substance use, and the effects of poverty on various socioeconomic social groups

  • Knowledge of community mental health and substance use treatment resources

  • Prior experience providing case management services to individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds

  • Prior experience in leading or managing staff in a human service program preferred

  • Leadership skills and ability to provide effective staff coaching and training

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and automobile with insurance required.

  • Pre-employment background check.

  • Fluency in Spanish, spoken and written, is a definite asset.
