GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Director with the day-to-day program operations including staff supervision, training, and quality assurance measures.
Develop and update program policies and procedures
Develop, and update staff training materials
Develop and update program forms and other program documents
Provide ongoing staff training, coaching, and skill development
Oversee services provided by staff to ensure that clients are receiving quality services
Provide ongoing review and quality assurance on all program services and documentation
Assist with hiring of new staff
Other duties as assigned
Must possess at least a B.A. or B.S. degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field with experience in human services, preferably case management.
Computer literacy including working knowledge and experience of Windows and word processing, as well as data entry experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of skill in organization and attention to detail and accuracy as well as ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
The ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
Knowledge and understanding of mental illness, substance use, and the effects of poverty on various socioeconomic social groups
Knowledge of community mental health and substance use treatment resources
Prior experience providing case management services to individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
Prior experience in leading or managing staff in a human service program preferred
Leadership skills and ability to provide effective staff coaching and training
Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and automobile with insurance required.
Pre-employment background check.
Fluency in Spanish, spoken and written, is a definite asset.
