Peer Support Specialist | PArt and FUll Time Positions Available

POSITION SUMMARY:

The JusticePoint Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) engages and encourages peers in recovery. The CPRS will function as a role model to peers by demonstrating competency in personal recovery and the use of coping/recovery skills. The goal is to promote engagement, self-direction, and recovery skills so the peer can gain independent mastery over their own recovery. The CPRS works with peers as equals. The position would support participants in the Ramsey County Treatment Courts.

This opening is not a general case management or social work position. It is specifically for individuals who have or are seeking Peer Recovery Specialist certification, have a history of diagnosed substance use disorders, and are willing to openly share their recovery story. Those applying for the position should be able to understand and articulate the role and duties of a Peer Recovery Specialist.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for helping consumers understand, navigate, and grow through the OTC program.  The Recovery Support Specialist will maintain a caseload of ongoing clients for which they provide services using the Recovery Support Coordination model of case management.  Recovery Support Coordination is a strength-based case management model that provides the framework for an individualized plan of care to be developed for each participant. The purpose of Recovery Support Coordination is to assist clients to establish their own path to recovery and ensure the client’s well-being beyond the provision of formal services. It is the expectation of JusticePoint that Recovery Support Specialists will promptly undertake care coordination responsibilities so that the client’s recovery needs will be met in a timely manner. The RSS will coordinate service planning and delivery, as well as help the client to access services. This position will be based in Dodge County but will maintain a caseload of Fond du Lac clients and will therefore requires the ability to travel to meet clients throughout the community.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Jail Screening Specialist is a professional position responsible for conducting interviews and assessments of inmates in Milwaukee County detention facilities.  The Jail Screening Specialist provides a detailed and objective report to the Court, Prosecution and Defense to assist in the bail decision.  This includes the defendant’s assessed risk level, and recommendations related to bail and release conditions.  The Jail Screening Specialist also assists in the process of releasing individuals from custody to pretrial supervision and in providing more in depth assessment to identify individuals who may be eligible for a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA).

$4000 salary differential for working 3rd Shift.

The JDAP Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of JusticePoint’s Manitowoc County Juvenile Detention Alternative Programs. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing the provision of services, ensuring adequate staff coverage to fulfill contractual obligations, supervising program staff, ensuring activities and services are documented appropriately in paper and electronic program participant files, and working closely with the executive management team to ensure that program outcomes are met at levels that meet or exceed those outlined in the program contract between JusticePoint and Manitowoc County.  The JDAP Program Director is responsible for staff recruitment, hiring, and training as well monitoring performance outcomes and ensuring high quality program service delivery within the budget limitations outlined in the contract.
