Intake Specialist/Recovery Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for conducting intakes to help the consumers understand, navigate, and grow through the OTC program.  The Intake Specialist is responsible for screening and assessing all referrals to the Dodge/Fond du Lac County Opioid Treatment Center Program.  The Intake Specialist may maintain a small caseload of ongoing clients for which they serve as their Recovery Support Specialist using the Recovery Support Coordination model of case management. Recovery Support Coordination is a strength-based case management model that provides the framework for an individualized plan of care to be developed for each participant. The purpose of Recovery Support Coordination is to assist clients to establish their own path to recovery and ensure the client’s well-being beyond the provision of formal services. It is the expectation of JusticePoint that Recovery Support Specialists will promptly undertake care coordination responsibilities so that the client’s recovery needs will be met in a timely manner. The RSS will coordinate service planning and delivery, as well as help the client to access services.

The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of JusticePoint’s Non-Residential Services for Adult Correctional Offenders in the Portage County Criminal Justice System.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing the provision of court and defendant/offender services, ensuring adequate staff coverage to fulfill contractual obligations, supervising program staff, ensuring activities and services are documented appropriately in paper and electronic program participant files, and working closely with the JusticePoint Executive Management team to ensure that program outcomes are met at levels that meet or exceed those outlined in the program contract between JusticePoint and Portage County.  The Program Director is responsible for staff recruitment, hiring, and training/staff development curriculum, as well monitoring performance outcomes and ensuring high quality program service delivery within the budget limitations outlined in the contract.

Drug Treatment Court Coordinator

Jail Screening SPecialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Jail Screening Specialist is a professional position responsible for conducting interviews and assessments of inmates in the Rock County Jail.  The Jail Screening Specialist provides a detailed and objective report to the Court, Prosecution and Defense to assist in the bail decision.  This includes the defendant’s assessed risk level, and recommendations related to bail and release conditions.  The Jail Screening Specialist also assists in the process of releasing individuals from custody to pretrial supervision and in providing more in-depth assessment to identify individuals who may be eligible for Rock County’s Alternative Justice Programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The JusticePoint Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) engages and encourages peers in recovery. The CPS will function as a role model to peers by demonstrating competency in personal recovery and the use of coping/recovery skills. The goal is to promote engagement, self-direction, and recovery skills so the peer can gain independent mastery over their own recovery. The CPS works with peers as equals. The position would work with a diverse group of high-risk, high-need, justice-involved individuals.

This opening is not a general case management or social work position. It is specifically for individuals who have or are seeking Peer Specialist certification, have a history of diagnosed mental health and/or AODA issues, and are willing to openly share their recovery story. Those applying for the position should be able to understand and articulate the role and duties of a Peer Specialist.

Information gathered through the pretrial investigation process is entered into the Milwaukee County Pretrial Service Information System and used to create a Pretrial Risk Report used by judicial officials in the bail setting decision.
